RE: Log Splitter - DaveH - 03-30-2015 All of the parts to the pusher are made - not completely finished but I wanted to make sure all the parts bolted together. Because sometimes there is always one [attachment=10439] [attachment=10440] [attachment=10441] Getting there albeit slowly DaveH RE: Log Splitter - Highpower - 03-30-2015 Now try not to lose it.... RE: Log Splitter - DaveH - 03-30-2015 DaveH RE: Log Splitter - DaveH - 03-31-2015 Just a quick question. For those who have a similar log splitter do you use oil or grease on the pusher part that runs on the Ibeam flange? DaveH RE: Log Splitter - f350ca - 03-31-2015 No, run it in dry. Oil or grease would hold dirt and wear it out quicker than dry Dave RE: Log Splitter - Highpower - 03-31-2015 Dave, maybe you could try a dry film lubricant like Teflon? Once the carrier flashes off, there is nothing 'wet' for dirt to stick to. http://www.amazon.com/DuPont-Non-Stick-Dry-Film-Lubricant-14-Ounce/dp/B00D3G6IFE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1427856345&sr=8-1&keywords=dry+film+lubricant RE: Log Splitter - stevec - 04-01-2015 I don't lube mine. (anymore ) Steve RE: Log Splitter - DaveH - 04-01-2015 I think you are right guys - best to leave it dry. I did think about this because I was thinking about some rollers - then it occurred to me with all the debris would cause major problems with the rollers. Seems I forgot about all the debris. DaveH RE: Log Splitter - Mayhem - 04-01-2015 Stop over thinking things Dave or by the time you finish it the only trees left will be in museums!
