RE: Making ready for new Mill /Lathe - Kennyv - 08-01-2015 (07-31-2015, 11:35 PM)Vinny Wrote: You mean the mill stand with the ugly welds? :) ure too much Vinny .. let me say one thing I had an unwelcome guest in the shop for a few months everything this guy touched he either broke or made worse . this guy even stole handles off of things for the brass. Well one thing he did was add a bigger spool to welder ( small Lincoln 100) anyways he didn't put a spacer and it got stuck when wire feeding. ( nut kept locking up when it advanced) I fig that out at the end of job ,, so that's one big reason why my welds were stop and go... I do have a few good lookin welds ya know ... like I said I aint no welder ..whats with u bro ure worse than my ole man RE: Making ready for new Mill /Lathe - Vinny - 08-01-2015 Kenny, I don't think anyone can produce an uglier weld than me! Well maybe Ed! In the pic, I didn't even see your welds!!! RE: Making ready for new Mill /Lathe - EdK - 08-01-2015 You guys quit whining. I'm the king of ugly welds. Ed RE: Making ready for new Mill /Lathe - Sunset Machine - 08-01-2015 Ag parts are profitable. Make something common. Make a few and put them for sale in the paper. Haying is popular here; rollers and drive gears are in demand. Just one of those orders might pay for your lathe. Just one ad might generate related calls. Your mill stand has wheels on it. It'll tip over. RE: Making ready for new Mill /Lathe - Kennyv - 08-01-2015 (08-01-2015, 10:25 AM)Sunset Machine Wrote: Ag parts are profitable. Make something common.
