RE: Latest UPS Delivery - TomG - 05-26-2015 (05-26-2015, 06:08 PM)PixMan Wrote: Good caliper, though I'd prefer the digital electronic because they're so handy when you want to switch to metric, take differential readings, etc. A lot more money though, so I understand the reason for a mechanical dial caliper. Have you used an 8" caliper Ken? It's actually an ideal size and is all I use at home and at work. The price difference isn't that great over a six inch and you get an extra 30% capacity. I also have a 12" (dial), but they are much to unwieldy for every day use. Tom RE: Latest UPS Delivery - Mayhem - 05-26-2015 Trick question - there is no summer in MN RE: Latest UPS Delivery - PixMan - 05-26-2015 Tom, Of course I've used 8" calipers at work many times, they're fine. Having that 1 more inch has been GREAT though. Have YOU ever used a 9" caliper? Ed RE: Latest UPS Delivery - f350ca - 05-26-2015 Actually the mosquitos and black flies chase the polar bears north for the summer. RE: Latest UPS Delivery - Good Mann - 05-27-2015 Uh, So, Tom. Is 8". The new 6? GM. (Not general manager!) RE: Latest UPS Delivery - TomG - 05-27-2015 Like I said, I've always used an 8". |
