RE: Todays Project - What did you do today? - EdK - 11-30-2015 Rob, That wee o-silly-scope is pretty . I checked the specs on that and not bad for $32. It's certainly adequate for a whole lot of stuff. Ed RE: Todays Project - What did you do today? - RobWilson - 11-30-2015 Hi Ed , I think I payed about £15 from banggood , trace is a bit sketchy but it does have a hold function . All in all its worth the few quid I spent on it ,had fun putting it together and that what counts . its been running for 4 hours now and the magic smoke is still confined lol . Any idea what duty means ? info is a bit thin on the ground for this scope Rob RE: Todays Project - What did you do today? - EdK - 11-30-2015 (11-30-2015, 04:58 PM)RobWilson. Wrote: Hi Ed , Rob, Duty cycle is the amount of time the signal is active in one cycle. So with a 20mS square wave for instance, if the time it's high is 10mS and the time it's low is also 10mS then it's a 50% duty cycle. If it's high for 15mS and low for 5mS then it's a 75% duty cycle. Clear as mud. Ed RE: Todays Project - What did you do today? - wawoodman - 11-30-2015 (11-30-2015, 03:06 PM)RobWilson. Wrote: I knocked up a wee oscilloscope and scrolling clock Looks like fun. I put my first Heathkit together in about 1972. RE: Todays Project - What did you do today? - Highpower - 11-30-2015 (11-30-2015, 03:06 PM)RobWilson. RE: Todays Project - What did you do today? - Mayhem - 11-30-2015 Nice work Rob. Are you going to use it in finishing off your CNC mill? RE: Todays Project - What did you do today? - f350ca - 11-30-2015 Started on the new to me bandsaw. Charlie's been stripping the old paint, and today I fabricated a belt guard. The metal on the face was from an old oil tank, so rusted I had to fill the surface with primer and sand it down to hide some of the pitts. Wrote: Hi Ed , Clear as Ed All interesting stuff this electronics lark ,lots to learn . Changed a few settings on the function generator (something else I need to learn how to drive ) to change the duty cycle . so basically PWM ???? Hi Mike , I bet your project was a lot more involved and took more skill to build .
