RE: Todays Project - What did you do today? - Mayhem - 11-23-2015 Top is 1/2" thick. Edges and slots are all square which helps when laying parts out. That's 1/2" thicker then mine. Ed RE: Todays Project - What did you do today? - DaveH - 11-23-2015 They came out very nice Mike Nice clean shop DaveH RE: Todays Project - What did you do today? - Highpower - 11-23-2015 (11-23-2015, 12:39 PM)zmotorsports Wrote: It is nothing but an outdate phone book that I cut into a couple of 1.5" strips keeing the binding intact. Mike, what did you use to slice up the phone book so cleanly? RE: Todays Project - What did you do today? - Vinny - 11-23-2015 Dunno what Mike used, but clamping a book between two pieces of wood will allow you to cleanly cut it with a band saw. RE: Todays Project - What did you do today? - Mayhem - 11-24-2015 I just grab them and rip them in half RE: Todays Project - What did you do today? - zmotorsports - 11-24-2015 (11-23-2015, 05:08 PM)Pete O Wrote: Nice job Mike. I like the phone-book edge finder thing too, very time-efficient. (11-23-2015, 05:58 PM)DaveH Wrote: They came out very nice Mike Thanks guys. I appreciate the comments. I just fed it through my vertical bandsaw. If memory serves I think I was able to make about four sections so I should be covered for a long time. I thought about that but it actually came out quite clean without needing any kind of "backer". RE: Todays Project - What did you do today? - Mayhem - 11-24-2015 Are pages form the machine shop section more accurate than others? RE: Todays Project - What did you do today? - Sunset Machine - 11-24-2015 Gift wrapping tissue: .001" Phone book paper with a drop of oil will keep your fingers out of there. Feed in until the paper moves, you'll be about .001" away. Or less... whoops. |
