RE: Todays Project - What did you do today? - f350ca - 07-08-2015 We believed you did it Ed, really we did. RE: Todays Project - What did you do today? - dallen - 07-08-2015 worked on a little project [attachment=11302] RE: Todays Project - What did you do today? - Vinny - 07-08-2015 much better Ed RE: Todays Project - What did you do today? - PixMan - 07-09-2015 (07-08-2015, 08:11 PM)dallen Wrote: worked on a little project I thought you had already finished a piece like that. The cutter I made did a bang up job of cutting the end so that they fit like a glove on the pin heads. It also looks a lot better after I polished it up a bit, now if the correct screw would just get here so I can take that big ugly one out I'll be happy DA RE: Todays Project - What did you do today? - dallen - 07-13-2015 made some screws, the two black ones I bought and found out that after spending 9 dollars they were the wrong pitch so I made two to replace then. 12 X 28 pitch screws I turned out the blanks then cheated and used a die to cut the thread. they are only a .375" long [attachment=11349] RE: Todays Project - What did you do today? - Sunset Machine - 07-14-2015 The finest feed on my planer was something like .015 and quite the chipload. I cured it with a piece of scrap and some hose clamps (top right in the b&w pic) and now working very well. Chipload is now at .008 and DOC is .125 and producing a decent finish on a piece of flame cut steel scrap. RE: Todays Project - What did you do today? - Kennyv - 07-14-2015 Collet wrack is a done deal.... Had to pick up finish w/out kiddo. Few finial touches and she's getting hung. Hate not finishing a job...lol...... My 30 yr old rivet gun crapped out so I gota get one to put rivets on the top. Still not sure if im gona add the bottom sides or not cuz im hanging the wrack up next to the mill. This design was supposed to be for both bench top and hang. Was gona simply buy one but said Naa!1 what fun is that ? . Than wanted to build a rotary style wrack . But the whole purpose I designed this one was to do simple project my son . I decided on a flip top to kill 2 birds again keep the chips out of collects while EZ access from the helm. Well thats a wrap. Other than that maybe a small hand polish but no more . Need to start building my base stand for when my New mill arrives. Ok gota get off to my day Job lol.... funny how times flies when your havin fun. RE: Todays Project - What did you do today? - Pete O - 07-14-2015 Really like the rack Kenny, nice work. I reckon I would put a bottom and sides on it, nice as it is to be able to see the shiny collets hanging there, I know in my shed they would be coated with dust in no time at all. RE: Todays Project - What did you do today? - PixMan - 07-15-2015 How do you get dust on covered vertical surfaces? I like it. Does it have enough height under the cover to accept drill chucks and Weldon shank (solid) end mill holders? |
