RE: Let's See Your Mill - Mayhem - 06-12-2015 Nice shoes Dave - do you wear them in the shop or just on Saturday nights in downtown Johannesburg?? Ed - you may need to invest in a small ladder to reach the drawbar on a full size mill RE: Let's See Your Mill - EdK - 06-12-2015 (06-12-2015, 07:22 PM)Mayhem Wrote: ... If you need anything else please don't hesitate to ask. Mike. RE: Let's See Your Mill - Thumb - 06-24-2015 Finally got a couple guys and the forklift and was able to get this thing up on the bench. Now I need to get the manual out and figure out how to swing that head around. RE: Let's See Your Mill - PixMan - 06-24-2015 If you get the operators manual out and read how to do that BEFORE attempting it yourself, I will have to call authorities and have your man card rescinded! We are supposed to "have at it" and only after things are totally FUBAR do we read manuals. RE: Let's See Your Mill - Thumb - 06-24-2015 Sorry, I was having one of those "Have At It" moments. It was simple, loosen the back 15/16" bolts and away she went! My old saying, "When all else fails, read the instructions." Charles RE: Let's See Your Mill - zmotorsports - 06-25-2015 Instructions? We don't need no stinkin' instructions. Mike. RE: Let's See Your Mill - Kennyv - 06-29-2015 Well I got a giant PM 25MV .( not) JMHO its a toy . First time in my life I wish I had 2-3 more inches and I was a couple Pounds heavier wrote Matty this am cuz I suspect we have some spindle run out issues... if he's up for a trade in im up for a 932 as I think that's a better fit. If he entertains the thought think I should go for it? RE: Let's See Your Mill - PixMan - 07-02-2015 Anytime you can step up to a more rigid, well built milling machine you should. The difference you find straightaway in everything from runout, cutting ability, spindle speeds, tool life to achievable surface finish makes the move worthwhile. |
