RE: Making An Outboard Spider - Mayhem - 09-30-2012 The CCMT inserts are a smart choice Ed, as they can be used to turn and face (without having to change tool position) in addition to boring. As they are an 80* included angle you can turn up to a 90* shoulder. Additionally, there are tons of CCMT/CCGT inserts on eBay in a wide variety of grades and chip breaker combinations.
