You got off easy on the last order Tom, just average the two and it won't seem as bad.

PM me with your credit card details Willie (number, name, exp date, code) and I'll run a check to ensure you are not going to be a victim of credit card fraud, which can happen when things like this happen Angel

Too late Darren, I've already had that pleasure once. Fortunately my bank was very cooperative in dismissing the charges and setting me up with a new account.

Apparently I purchased a couple of gift subscriptions to some "gentlemen's magazines" for someone in the UK. Chin

The fraud department put a hold on my credit card last week because I made a "suspicious" purchase totaling $6.95 at Hemley Tool in CT. They didn't call my wife to check, simply put a hold on the card. As my wife was unaware, she went to get money out of the ATM and the machine ate her card and told her to call the bank! We now have to have new cards issued.

This is after they blocked me from withdrawing cash from any ATM in the US (for some stupid reason), which is why I had to put such a small amount on the credit card to begin with.

So much for calling them ahead of time and telling them I will be traveling to the US and using my plastic whilst I am there Rant

What a pain Darren! My dad can't use his debit card at Walmart in El Paso Rotfl He can use it at the gas station across the street but his bank always blocks purchases from the Walmart Rotfl

Oh my! I can't believe that happened to you. I would down at that bank insisting they make my old cards good again, though I know well how futile that can be.

RE: Carbide Grinder - TOM REED - 10-13-2012

Grinder arrived this week, it is fairly good and runs well without shake, wheels probably need truing but it will do a much better job than "I can do freehand so on the whole I am happy. Only problem I was quoted $125.00 by FEDEX GROUND for shipping to my door. this was all set up all ENCO was to do was call FEDEX GROUND for pickup. Instead ENCO called FEDEX FREIGHT, and there the problem begins, FEDEX FREIGHT does not clear customs so I had to have broker clear for me which cost me an additional $100.00, now it gets to CALGARY and FEDEX FREIGHT informs me the shipping charges are $250.00 and they tell me this is based on the size and weight which are much greater than the grinder. The parcel arrived on WED and it was obvious why the charges were more ENCO strapped the damn carton to a small pallet. So the long and short of it my deal of $212.00 for the grinder but I really got the shaft on shipping and brokerage which made my landed cost $575.00. Thanks ENCO for really screwing up my order, I will never purchase from them again. tom

I'd be going back to Enco and telling them that they should meet the additional cost incurred due to their incompetence. Was the instruction and agreement by Enco to us FedEx ground done over the phone or by email?
