Fortunantly it never got in my lymph nodes and all my margins were clear. I have a permanant colostimy, but by god I have A future now. I dont mean to hijack the thread , im just new here. Try to post a pic of my method of measuring over wires but couldnt get it to work. Not sure what im doing wrong.
eightball, ya, I read that in post #16 of this thread and responded in post #17.
BTW, I see you've mastered the posting of pics. Thumbsup

These are metric shafts i made measuring over wires, When the nuts arrived they fit perfect.

Had to get one of my kids to help me post the pic. LOL I knew i mentioned to Tom about my cancer but just wanted to clarify that it was rectal cancer. Thread wires work really well, I've never understood why ppl think their hard to use.

Ask questions if it's not clear to you. We don't bite, too hard.

Beautiful work Marty, ah...er eightball Thumbsup
I have never used wires but I've read a bit, when dealing with much smaller pitches and diameters and the wires get really thin I can imagine it could get a bit fumbly, especially with my ten sausages...er fingers.

Great post Eightball, thanks, I've never had to cut multiple start threads yet, I've tried elastics but I have the same type fingers as Steve, with the elastics came extra energy and a wider search area.

RE: 3 Wire thread measurement - eightball - 12-13-2013

I have an o ring set that i generally use to hold wires. On small shafts i roll up a ball of duct seal putty and stick one end of the wires in it. then i only have to hold the other end. Ive done the same thing with foam rubber but like using the puttythe best. anything over an inch i use the o rings. That frees up both my hands. And pitch diameter is the most critical deminsion on a thread. Hope this helps.

RE: 3 Wire thread measurement - eightball - 12-13-2013

I like to use my o ring set because i can select a size tht dosent put a lot of pressrue on the wires. it taks a very small amount of pressure to hold them. I like my wires straight with no curve in them when i measure over them. I have a set of thos little triangle things with the rubber bands to hold them on your mics. I prefer and trust my wires more.
