RE: What's on your Christmas list ? - arvidj - 11-28-2014 The good news is that all of you have seen and offered suggestions as I unwrapped and installed my Christmas gift. The bad news is that I now need to figure out something for Bev that she will be as excited about as I was about the lathe. Shopping for me is easy ... for her ... not so much. RE: What's on your Christmas list ? - stevec - 11-28-2014 Good luck with that Arvidj. Otherwise we would not believe it actually happened. Doh, busted! Yup, I spent a whole bunch of money on a new camera for my birthday so that's why Santa is broke this year. Ed, I suspect we all would have a lot of money if we didn't have a lot of hobbies. Hoping that Bev does not read this forum, Arvid RE: What's on your Christmas list ? - DaveH - 11-28-2014 (11-28-2014, 10:00 AM)EdK Wrote: Doh, busted! Ed RE: What's on your Christmas list ? - Mayhem - 11-28-2014 LOL Ed - I should have been clearer! I meant Bob could either hide the money from his wife, or pick out one of Rob's mills RE: What's on your Christmas list ? - 12345678910 - 11-29-2014 (11-27-2014, 07:39 AM)stevec Wrote:(11-26-2014, 06:54 PM)12345678910 Wrote: For the lathe, I think I want a quick change AXA toolpost and a bunch of holdersWhat size is your lathe? (I'm to lazy to hunt through previous posts to find out) South Bend 9 This is the hall sensor I mean No endorsement of that seller or auction the little button magnet on the pulley, the threaded sensor is non contact pointing at it. http://www.ebay.com/itm/4-Digital-Blue-LED-Tachometer-RPM-Speed-Meter-Hall-Proximity-Switch-Sensor-NPN-/271505638660 When I do a three phase motor and vfd conversion on the mill, this will give you direct rpm readout.
