Too bad you weren't closer as I almost always have a compressor or two hidden in the pile here.

Walter

Walter,

Thanks, that would be ideal, but as you implied, not practical.

Small, cheap, portable and ideal for that wheelbarrow of yours.

How much does a small bottle of nitrogen and a regulator cost? The auto parts stores carry small (really small) 12 VDC compressors. I blew up an air mattress with one once. It took so long and was so noisy that I put it in the station wagon while camping and forgot about it. Burst every seam in the mattress and we slept on the ground that night.

Quincy is my favorite commercial rig, for home it's Campbell-Hausfeld.

OK, I've narrowed my choices down to these two, I think. Rolleyes

I'm tempted to go with the 60 gallon since it's only $80 more for over twice the capacity. It's a little more money than I wanted to spend but I think it's a good compromise between dirt cheap and too much money at this time. Chin

The 60 gallon takes up no more floor space than the smaller one, and the larger tank will slow down the run times if you aren't using it for extended periods.

I like 'Assembled in the US with global components'

So that means it was all made in China Thumbsup The receiver and the compressor arrive separate.

Ya Dave you hit the nail on the head,Blush
if it comes to the US in at least 2 or 3 pieces it's considered parts as apposed to a finished product making the import taxes about half as high.Slaphead
And every body wonders why we cant compete with the imports on our own soil! ChinBashBash

Ed,
On your second link (to the 60 gal. vertical) the last line in the 'Product Description' says - Assembled in USA with global components

Jerry,
It is just the same here Thumbsup
Although there was a big discussion about 20 years ago on how much needed to be local to be "Made in South Africa". The discussion became so complex and convoluted it just died without any real conclusions.
What is "made", what is "assembled" Chin Chin Chin

Take your gold ring or your wife's there is a 90% chance it is South African gold so the gold was "made" in South Africa Rotfl Rotfl Rotfl
