It always comes down to money and time!
Cars are often money pits and always give trouble when you least need it (same could be said of the fairer sex). If you can work on them yourself it is always a big help and I'm lucky enough to have saved big dollars on engine and transmission rebuilds by doing them myself.
Good news on the BobCad front and also on the sale of the De-Vibe bar (someone got a hell of a good deal).

if you can put the lines on without any hassle do the lines the numbers no, if I need them I know a guy that has a pantagraph engraver that may be able to do them.

I got tired of the crappy little knobs on my bench top drill press and finally did something about it. I dug through one of my treasure boxes and found three golf balls that were the same. Two pieces of scrap 2x2 and my 1-1/2 hole saw were used to make up a clamping fixture for drilling and tapping to 3/8-16 thread. These knobs fit and feel much better in the hand. The dimples give you grip and also let the knob rotate smoothly in your hand.
These balls are solid clear through so I drilled the holes 25mm deep.

And here they are all installed. No more knobs that are too small with sharp ridges!

Now that's dispelled what must be a myth - I always understood that golf balls were a very long length of tightly wound elastic wrapped round a small liquid bladder then skinned in some plastic.

You had much better luck with drilling golf balls than I did. Many years ago I discovered that ... at least the ones I was using ... had a liquid filled core and what was to be a "two minute job" turned into quite a mess.

arvidj is right. Many years ago I drilled into a golf ball and received an accurate hit right in my eyes. I will never drill another golf ball.

As an FYI, I used range balls for this upgrade. Range balls are manufactured to be inexpensive (really cheap) and durable so my guess was that they would have a solid core. On a side note, I used some WD-40 when I tapped the threads just for fun and they turned out great.
As arvidj has pointed out, if the ball has a liquid core you will get more fun than you bargained for!

put the gear that I made the other day in the lathe to fix the carriage feed problem that was caused by a gear that the damn thing likes to eat one about every couple of years, Anyway its working now.
