Your post spurred me to do some searching and I found this: http://toengineering.co.uk/newsarticle/?id=39 If it was me, I'd contact them to see if they have any documentation in their archives.

Thankyou for your interest Stan, I've emailed 2 departments at Turnell & Odell and sadly had no reply fron either, I also contacted the local museum at Wellingborough where the company are located to see if any archives were sent to them, they did reply but have no information. I could try the county archives but that will require an arranged visit to Northampton.
I'm hopeful to find a match for the change gears with another make of lathe. My uneducated resurch so far says Harrison L5 L6 or 140 lathes could be a match for the gears, I'm hoping one or two forum members have these lathes to see if any dimentions match.

Wow - Wellingborough and Northampton - now you are taking my back to my childhood.
If you haven't already done so, I'd suggest contacting Tony from www.lathes.co.uk and see if he has any thoughts or suggestions.
Edit - I just did a quick Google search for Odell lathes, as I noticed that Turnell and Odell was listed as Odell Lathes on Tony's site (despite no info actually there). I stumbled across a YouTube channel for a guy with an identical name and lathe, who is also missing a change gear.
Either you are holding out on us or you should track him down and see if the same gear is missing

I've sent Tony at Lathes UK some pictures but he hasent replied as yet, as for the youtube guy I'm in close contact with him and seams we have exatly the same problem

If your diameter is the overall diameter of the gear, then your gear is a module 1.6 which is an odd size. 1.5 and 1.75 are the standard modules (according to all of the calculators I've found).

It would require some time with a calculator or computer, but you could reverse engineer the necessary gears needed to set up the gearing as per the plate. Then find a company similar to Boston Gear from which to purchase the blanks with gear teeth and bore & broach as needed. I did just that for the X axis feed box on my Fray.
