RE: Bringing a Shaper into the 21st Century - Mayhem - 01-22-2013 C'mon Greg - such ideas would have been considered which craft back in the day when these machines were new! RE: Bringing a Shaper into the 21st Century - f350ca - 01-23-2013 Have the scales mounted. Need to make some sort of mount for the readouts. Need to check the accuracy of the scales now. The table is out .013 in 6 inches comparing the scale to the dial, but agrees exactly to a dial indicator in 1/2 inch travel. Not sure if its the scale or the lead screw. Will set up a dial calliper and compare over the 10 or 12 inch of table movement. RE: Bringing a Shaper into the 21st Century - f350ca - 05-02-2013 i'd mentioned using a micrometer barrel for a depth stop somewhere here but can't find it. Anyway Rick suggested using a depth stop when cutting the rack, so here it is. Getting closer to cutting teeth. Just a little more work on the vice to hold the rack. RE: Bringing a Shaper into the 21st Century - Rickabilly - 08-20-2013 So that just proves that some one listens to me, My kids will be shocked. Regards Rick |
