Hi Justin. may I suggest in occurrences like this that a PM to the offending member might be the better initial option. I would imagine the issues would be quickly resolved. However, if you have no joy there, then PM Ed or one of the Mod's.

Whilst the internet has connected people and broadened horizons, it still lacks that human emotion, which is easily gaged by facial expression, body language and the tone of voice during face to face conversation.

It is for forming wire clamps - the link posted by Highpower shows it being used:

My objection is to the others that copy and sell such as LEE VALLEY and even the Chinese have one nearly the same. I wonder, especially since I have a couple of patentable original products that in the future I plan to develop, patent and have produced, how one can protect his product best.
Once again after rereading my post I can see how you took it as an insult, I will have to be a little more careful with my wording, I have many times in my 63 yrs opened my mouth before putting brain in gear.
I for one have always looked at products I buy and wonder how one can improve on them, this tool as marketed is exceptionally well made and very handy in many occasions, I have used it to help myself and many others with truck trouble on the road and over the past 5 yrs that I have had my tool and I have referred at least 20 truckers to his product.
Again sorry no insult intended. tom

No sweat, I probably reacted a little more harshly than I needed to. It's all good. ;-)

I didn't perceive an attack. I simply responded to what was written. I never thought it was an attack, I was just mildly offended by his wording. Which he and I resolved. It's all good.

The response in question didn't really merit a PM. My motives for asking my question were called into question, or I thought they were from the wording of the answer I got. I didn't want to respond in a PM because if my question lead folks to think I was trying to steal someone elses idea and profit from it, I wanted to say publicly that wasn't the case. I make things for the fun of making them. Darn near anything I make, or anyone else with this hobby makes, is available for sale somewhere. I just wanted it known that I wasn't trying to save $30 and cheat someone who designed a tool. I just like making stuff. The poster apologized and the thread moved on to more useful information. It's all good. No mod intervention was required.

I made one today, works great, now I need to bust a hose or something so I can use it again... This was a simple useful project.
Thanks for the idea.
