RE: Somewhat Humorous Video - November X-ray - 06-05-2012 Wow, just watch the video and it was so educational. Just goes to show the proper tool to cut aluminum stock IS an abrasive chop saw and then it is OKAY to clean aluminum with an abrasive bench grinder. Stupid me, I wasted monies on bandsaws, files and supposedly more accurate layout devices when all I ever needed was a simple ruler, a pencil, a nail and a hammer. Who'd a thunk it??? (Actually the drilled hole looked fairly centered) RE: Somewhat Humorous Video - doubleboost - 06-05-2012 A claw hammer at that (the hole did look central) Not to mention the jewelry and long hair John RE: Somewhat Humorous Video - krv3000 - 06-05-2012 well the nale bit did it for me RE: Somewhat Humorous Video - stevec - 06-05-2012 I liked the white T shirt showing in exactly the area where it would pick up the most grime. I also noticed the safety glasses dangling under those two bumps but I didn't notice whether or not they were put on for the drilling (I'm not going back to review the video, it was too painful). The nail center punch and clawhammer were nice touches. Was this video done to boost the confidence of some of the klutzyer members of this forum (self included)? RE: Somewhat Humorous Video - ukazak - 06-06-2012 Come on! give her a breake, she must be good at eyeballing things, at least, she drilled, before tapping. humorus, indeed. unal RE: Somewhat Humorous Video - EdK - 06-06-2012 (06-05-2012, 07:15 PM)stevec Wrote: I also noticed the safety glasses dangling under those two bumps but I didn't notice whether or not they were put on for the drilling (I'm not going back to review the video, it was too painful). That's the only time she used the safety glasses. Protecting the most valuable um, ah,... assets! Tom RE: Somewhat Humorous Video - awemawson - 11-07-2013 Ignoring you lewd types Scary that this sort of thing is out there on the web. That grind stone will get bound with the aluminium, there is a distinct possibility that the wheel will explode next time it's used for heavy grinding as the surface will overheat. Talking of overheating - she presented nicely RE: Somewhat Humorous Video - Mayhem - 11-07-2013 Damn you Tom for dredging this up from the bottom of the MWF barrel Given that I missed it the first time around, I felt compelled to watch it. There is eight minutes of my life I'll never get back! Her choice and use of tooling was outshone only by her lack of command of the English language. As Steve put it: "painful" Ed - what the hell were you thinking? RE: Somewhat Humorous Video - TomG - 11-07-2013 Ok..........never mind. (But you have to admit. the tapping demonstration was quite entertaining) Tom |
