RE: Lathe Radius Attachment - Roadracer_Al - 10-13-2016 The tool is slid in and out of the swinging frame manually. One could build a fairly precise diameter cutting tool setting device. I recall seeing a horizontal boring mill cutter setting tool. Basically a V bock with a dial gauge resting on the tool tip. Something similar that indexed to the axis could be useful. RE: Lathe Radius Attachment - Hawkeye - 10-13-2016 Al's on it again. In addition, I made a bar that has the ends cut back so that the front surface is at the centre of the first axis. You then use a scale or gauge block to set the radius. For the second axis, add 1" to the radius desired. |
