Do you remember where you sourced it from?

Here's an American supplier:  http://www.trick-tools.com/RadiusMaster_Belt_Grinding_Machine_RM48_5264

Trick Tools ships internationally and they mention Canada specifically.  Of course you'll have to deal with brokerage fees, etc.

BTW, not an inexpensive piece of equipment, but that's to be expected for a quality item.

Yeah, I just checked out the price. I think I'll hold off a bit before I order one.

I must confess I'm very taken with this machine. I particularly like the small footprint as its on a pedestal. There are some great 2 x 72's out there but they tend to be bench hogging monsters. Looks like I have some saving to do!

One also needs to calculate in the current & former Aussie & US dollar  exchange rates.

At the end of 2009 the US & Australian dollars were virtually at par.  In previous months the Australian dollar was less valuable.  Today the Australian dollar is worth $0.75 US, close to what it was in 1975.

Vinny,

How 'bout you buying one then posting a review for all of us. :)

Perhaps not, Stan. I think our resident penguin already did a good job of that.

I like how compact it is, looks like it takes about the same floor space as the band saw sitting behind it... nice.

I've thought about building one, they look handy and guess they cut cool for grinding HSS. Couple of questions, how long do the belts last? Do you use the different sized rollers very often? Can see where they would be great for something like knife making, but can't see me needing different radiused grinds very often.
