Yep, that's an extremely dangerous machine and should only be operated by those of us with multiple hours on them. Send me your address & I'll be there shortly to rescue you from the risk. (you're right I'm jealous).

that's a Cincinnati pretty much same as the one I have, except mine they called a heavy duty.

The only reason the shop is clean is because everything is jammed to one end. Had to do that to get this lathe moved in.
The shaper is a 16 in cinn back geared , similar to dal lens.

The headstock appears to have 2 sight glasses in it, that probably means they are for 2 separate chambers (?), anyway, I would suggest
you fill the chambers to halfway up the sight glasses.
As for what kind of oil I would suggest a 20 or 30 wt. non detergent oil (detergent oil may free up contamination presently harmlessly stuck
to the the walls/bottom of the castings).
There Vinny, how's that for a stab at an answer?
