RE: input needed - BertieBassett - 02-01-2015 wouldn't it be much simpler just to screw the ends on, and lock with a set screw? female thread in the main shaft and a male thread on the end piece with a run out groove for a locking set screw to make sure it cant come apart RE: input needed - swordplayer - 02-01-2015 thanks guys that helped alot. i think im gonna go with the inner threads idea if i can find em. mainly cuz i think if i didnt have a long enough recieving course for the springload i feel it could potentially fail. THANKS AGAIN :) RE: input needed - swordplayer - 02-01-2015 also i thought of the female and male bored and threaded pieces to connect them. i fear that given the right force accidental or purposely i could crack the thread within the rod. and i currently dont have the tools to remove something like that. i know taxes are coming but regardless its a 200$ rod alone withput working on it. id rather not.run the risk. which is why i come to the experts like you.guys lol ;) |
