RE: Woodcarving a pointer dog - Micktoon - 02-19-2014 Hi Ed , those shots were with tripod on auto setting so I dont know why they came out so bad, I wanted to hang the towel up , as the backdrop was so cluttered but the light was too bright and bland there I think so I will try better lighting next photos. I gave up a long time ago taking shots without a tripod lol. Cheers Mick. RE: Woodcarving a pointer dog - EdK - 02-19-2014 Mick, That's good that you have a tripod. Taking another look at the pictures it appears the camera is back focusing. The focus appears to be on the towel rather than on the carving. If you can set your camera for center spot focusing I think you'd have better luck. Ed RE: Woodcarving a pointer dog - doubleboost - 02-19-2014 Words fail me You have captured your dog very well The tail and balls are mint John RE: Woodcarving a pointer dog - EdK - 02-19-2014 (02-19-2014, 05:25 PM)doubleboost Wrote: ... I hope to get more done later in the week. A couple of people that have seen the photos but not the carving seem to think its about 18 inches long , its actually only say 5-6 inches long and about 4 inches tall. Cheers Mick. P.S the balls are not finished yet either lads RE: Woodcarving a pointer dog - doubleboost - 02-23-2014 Great job Mick It needs the left nacker dropping 23 thou John |
