I was only looking at a similar crank on my shaper earlier in the week thinking I needed to clean up a light covering of surface rust - now if I had your bronze one a bit of damp wouldn't matter !

thats one way to look at it, I just wanted one out of bronze because I had the metal to do it with and it would be something that most others wouldn't have and its going to look pretty good when all shined up.

Thanks John. the square end is actually a little on the large side and could be smaller in diameter to lighten it up a bit.
