RE: Video - Prototype Handle - wrustle - 05-04-2013 Well, a couple months have gone by and lots has happened so I thought I'd pull up a keyboard and show you all what's been going on with these handles. As you know (or may not know), these were some prototype handles for forensic test machines we make components, and build assemblies for. We initially made three types of handles, a two tang handle, a three tang, and a four tang handle. Here are the prototypes. After the customer reviewed the prototypes it was decided the three tang was what they would like for their machines, so a 50pc production run began! Here are some of the production pieces getting ready to ship out for orange anodize. Today the pieces came back from one of the anodizing vendors I use and gotta say......they did a great job!! I think my customer will be very happy with the results! Best Regards, Russ RE: Video - Prototype Handle - DaveH - 05-04-2013 They do look good Russ DaveH RE: Video - Prototype Handle - doubleboost - 05-04-2013 Very nice One of them would look well on my mantelpiece John RE: Video - Prototype Handle - EdK - 05-04-2013 It looks like you gave them a good surface finish to work with. They did turn out very nice. Ed RE: Video - Prototype Handle - wrustle - 09-14-2013 Well it has been awhile since I had posted this thread about the handles we were making and the other day I came across the video of the parts we make in an advertisement on youtube so I thought I would post it here for those of you who might find this stuff interesting can see it. For me.....it is a very proud moment to actually see the end product in use and know we were an instrumental part in its development and production. In the video you are about to see, we manufacture the entire assembly with the exception of the plastic components. We manufacture the parts, have them anodized, silk screened and shipped off to our customer for assembly. Interestingly enough, the machine (Geno Grinder) the adjustable clamp is installed in is also a product we manufacture nearly all the components for as well. Enjoy.......... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hkwvOhQSt7Q&feature=share&list=UUBJ-7hKJBMesRJf6WRwciMg Best Regards, Russ RE: Video - Prototype Handle - Mayhem - 09-14-2013 Oh to be famous RE: Video - Prototype Handle - stevec - 09-14-2013 YOU DA MAN HANDLEr!
