Not sure how long it was in the back of my now deceased friends garage, but it has to be 10-15 years at least. I don't think he ever used it. This came from part of his 50 year collection of stuff, and he DID NOT PART WITH ANYTHING!! When asked it was always "NO, NOT FOR SALE" !!!! Lol (a massive collection of all sorts of stuff, that took about 3 weeks just to sort through.)
