RE: Looking At A Bigger Mill - EdK - 11-01-2015 Got'r done. On to the next phase which will be the wiring. Ed [attachment=12081] RE: Looking At A Bigger Mill - dallen - 11-01-2015 move the hole in the plate for the eye bolt towards the back of the lathe which will move the balance point so that you don't have to take the motor off again RE: Looking At A Bigger Mill - EdK - 11-01-2015 Taking the motor off didn't help much so I came up with a different solution that worked, and was a whole lot simpler. You make a good point though. I'll have to remember that if I ever have to move the lathe again. Ed RE: Looking At A Bigger Mill - DaveH - 11-01-2015 Good job Ed, although it looks easy from here DaveH RE: Looking At A Bigger Mill - EdK - 11-01-2015 Bird's eye view. I still have to figure out where the shop press is going to reside. Ed [attachment=12082] RE: Looking At A Bigger Mill - PixMan - 11-02-2015 (11-01-2015, 05:35 PM)EdK Wrote: Bird's eye view. Back end of the garage? It's not metal cutting (usually), won't make a mess (usually) and takes up little space for an infrequently used tool. The milling machine will get FAR more use. Ed RE: Looking At A Bigger Mill - EdK - 11-02-2015 Got the lathe light and power wiring moved over so the lathe is now usable. That is after I give it a good cleaning before I reattach the back splash and motor. Amazing how long it took to move the light and wiring. I guess I'm getting slower as I plunge deep into oldicis farticis.
