That wall looks good Ken, you must be very happy.

Not quite 100% satisfied with it because the left end of it stopped abruptly as that's where the original wall had ended, according to the stone mason. The slop that the wall supports does taper off there, but I'm going to get him back to give me a more pleasing finish to that end. I want it to come down at an angle or a radius to meet the ground where it should end at the fence my neighbor to the rear just replaced/upgraded.

The majority of it that does the job of keeping my next door neighbor's yard in place is just beautiful, and massive. Very happy with that.

sounds like normal sch 40 which has an inside diameter of 1.05, the difference between sch 40 and sch 80 wall thickness is 0.011 with the sch 80 having an inside diameter of 0.96.

did the bit cut full circle or just take out the weld.

Nice wall by the way.

I finished a second one of the caps for Darren today. It's been hard to find time to get that done, but it only takes about 80 minutes to carve one out of the 1-1/2" solid piece of 416SS. Once I get going I don't want to stop until it's done! It's about an hour to make the part, the rest is the cleanup. ;)

Thanks Ken - there is no urgency on these, so please don't drag yourself over to the shop unless you really want to.

Don`t worry Darren, I`m sure he`s just working up the justification of the bill you`ll get. Rotfl

I have no drama's with that Steve. However, I know for a fact that is not how Ken works.

The machine work is all done! I made the replacement pipe today, beautiful threads on all pieces mate perfectly. Not too tight, not too loose.

I hope to be shipping everything off to Australia on Saturday morning. It's been pretty hectic trying to get this done while caring for my mom, working and trying to coordinate a lot of contractor work being dome at her home. It's going to be a good feeling to get the two boxes off to Darren and his friend. I'm only looking for reimbursement for the Scotchbrite pads, a Valenite S-VMSP 100 90CCC cutter and a couple of inserts, and the shipping itself. My machine work is "on the house" to a friend!

Oooh - you found me one Big Grin

I appreciate all your time and help on this project Ken. These are a much better item than I would have produced alone and I'm grateful for your time, guidance and friendship. I'm going to have to stay longer next time! Now I have to get creative, so that I can drill the holes in the frame and mount these properly.

Of course, you should put your family and domestic chores above my projects, as this isn't urgent by any means. Does your Mom's house still have white where red should be, or has that been rectified?

Thanks again Worthy
