RE: Latest Delivery - awemawson - 04-20-2017 That seems pleasingly and perhaps surprisingly high! RE: Latest Delivery - TomG - 04-20-2017 I finally got a backup for my HP-11c calculator in the shop. The one I'm using has been in service, in the shop since the 80's and it's getting pretty beat up. I lay awake at night worrying about having to give up RPN and learn algebraic notation. Got it for $50 and it's like new, good for another thirty years. Tom RE: Latest Delivery - Roadracer_Al - 04-25-2017 I have one of those lying around somewhere. My Dad bought it before realizing I'm a math retard. RE: Latest Delivery - TomG - 04-25-2017 You should learn how to use it. In my opinion its the best calculator ever devised, as simple or as complex as you want. RE: Latest Delivery - EdK - 04-26-2017 The new tool and inserts arrived. Ed [attachment=14369] RE: Latest Delivery - f350ca - 04-26-2017 I have know idea what possessed me to buy this but it looked way too cool. And Saddie gave her approval. In my opinion its the best calculator ever devised, as simple or as complex as you want. I've got all my fingers and toes, so I can get to 21. Much beyond that, though... RE: Latest Delivery - Mike E. - 05-03-2017 I found this vintage Alfred Herbert Jr. surface grinder on a used machinery site. Thought I'd take a punt as the price seemed fair, and I'm glad I did. Its in remarkable condition for its age, has a simple one shot enclosed lubrication system, and a lever operated manual table which operates effortlessly. This will be a nice addition to my retirement workshop. Today I installed a set of casters so I can easily move it around in my storage unit, as I need the wheeled dolly to for the Opus die filer that's being delivered tomorrow; an ebay buy. RE: Latest Delivery - f350ca - 05-04-2017 For no apparent reason, other than it looked cool I put a low bid on one of these and won. Its an Arboga ER 1830. Any idea of a weight ? I've seen 800 and 1000 pounds listed in ads, looks heavier. Now I need to haul it home and find a spot. |
