RE: Looking At A Bigger Mill - dallen - 09-12-2015 I just figured that you didn't want the car to get lonely outside, RE: Looking At A Bigger Mill - f350ca - 09-12-2015 With out a Mrs to direct, the shop is where ever you want it. Mine just happens to be bigger than the house and climate controlled. At least in the winter. I still have a few more I need to tweak and then I'll video the "running of the mill". Stay tuned. OK - how about this: Parameter one: Machine plugged in. Possible settings: (1) Yes, (2) No. Parameter two: 440V 32A three-phase power. Possible settings: (1) On, (2) Off. It took me a while to think about that RE: Looking At A Bigger Mill - Highpower - 09-13-2015 (00001) 00000000 (00010) 00000001 RE: Looking At A Bigger Mill - EdK - 09-13-2015 A video as promised. Short and boring but it's all I had time for. This was a very busy weekend for me. Ed RE: Looking At A Bigger Mill - f350ca - 09-13-2015 That was pretty epic Ed RE: Looking At A Bigger Mill - Highpower - 09-14-2015 One suggestion Ed. Find the parameter for carrier frequency and work on that. My ears still hurt! RE: Looking At A Bigger Mill - EdK - 09-14-2015 (09-14-2015, 03:28 PM)Highpower Wrote: One suggestion Ed. Find the parameter for carrier frequency and work on that. My ears still hurt! Yup, when I first turned it on I knew I had to adjust that first thing. The default is 2K and that's what you're hearing in the video. I bumped it up to 6K and that quieted it down quite a bit. I'll do some more tweaking once it's in its final resting place. Ed RE: Looking At A Bigger Mill - f350ca - 09-14-2015 My solid state phase converter, (probably a VFD without the variable) uses a 20K carrier, not loud but annoying as hell. Most people can't hear it, as deaf as I am I still hear it with my right ear only. RE: Looking At A Bigger Mill - Highpower - 09-15-2015 I find that kind of squeal about as appealing as chewing on alumin(i)um foil! |
