RE: Minimal Clockmaking - doubleboost - 05-24-2013 Some real nice work going on hear All a bit small for my clumsy fingers and weary eyes John RE: Minimal Clockmaking - TomG - 05-24-2013 It's a thing of beauty Brian. I like the look of the cycloidal tooth profile. It's very...clock like. Tom RE: Minimal Clockmaking - Brian - 05-25-2013 Its running on the test stand, with a Foliot from another clock. [attachment=5368] It will stay on test to run it in while other parts are made. Brian. RE: Minimal Clockmaking - dallen - 05-25-2013 nice to see it coming together RE: Minimal Clockmaking - Brian - 05-29-2013 Next job is to get the motion work set up, first the gears are put on the depthing tool, to get them running at the same centres, this measurement will be transferd to the front plate, to place the min wheel stud. The --minute wheel pipe -- hour wheel pipe --and hour wheel collet all run co axial on the stud. [attachment=5395] When this is done its on to the dial. RE: Minimal Clockmaking - Brian - 05-30-2013 Coming along nicely. [attachment=5403] Brian RE: Minimal Clockmaking - Brian - 05-31-2013 Dial posts and feet made. [attachment=5406] Brian RE: Minimal Clockmaking - EdK - 05-31-2013 Nice work as always Brian. Ed RE: Minimal Clockmaking - Mayhem - 05-31-2013 Whilst I don't really know what I am looking at in many of these posts, I'm enjoying the thread and looking forward to see the finished product. Then I may be able to figure it out? Nice work Brian. RE: Minimal Clockmaking - DaveH - 06-01-2013 I'm with Mayhem Looking good though DaveH |
