Ed RE: Checking My Nuts - EdK - 03-17-2015 Here you go Greg. 25% off at Enco. That should make the cost of the bronze you need more palatable. I wish that code was available when I bought my bronze. http://www.metalworkingfun.com/showthread.php?tid=866&pid=42517#pid42517 Ed RE: Checking My Nuts - arvidj - 03-17-2015 (03-17-2015, 11:46 AM)EdK Wrote: Here you go Greg. 25% off at Enco. If you see something you want and would like me to order it and then repackage it when it gets to Minnesota and send it to you just let me know. I'll be submitting my order around 6pm central. Arvid RE: Checking My Nuts - f350ca - 03-17-2015 Ed and Arvid, THANKS for the generous offers. The discount would cover the current exchange, but I can get it in Ottawa for $73, only $23 more, not worth putting either of you through the hassle, and I can have it as soon as I drive down there. Maybe I can hold you to your offers on a harder to source item. Thanks again RE: Checking My Nuts - f350ca - 03-17-2015 Once again thanks guys. Tired a couple of more places in the city and found it for $47 cdn a foot, WOW. So in my infinite wisdom I ordered two feet, really can't turn down a sale like that, now where did I put my purse. RE: Checking My Nuts - EdK - 03-30-2015 OK, time to get back to this project. I cut my nut in half this evening. I wanted to see how it fit the threads on the lead screw. It's not perfect and could use a little tweaking but I'm guessing it's probably better than the factory supplied nut. I'll tweak the tool bit to get better thread engagement. The angle on one side is just a hair off. Ed [attachment=10442] RE: Checking My Nuts - PixMan - 03-30-2015 Looks great to me! Get the bronze in the machine and get it done.
