Drawbar Wrench/Hammer - EdK - 06-09-2013

Since the secret project is no longer secret I thought I'd start a thread on it.

An exploded assembly and a couple of pictures so far.

Looking good Ed
I used copper on mine as brass tends to "spit" bits out
Not a good idea at eye level

Well, there's really no clear lines between brass/copper/zinc alloys. There's a million of them.

I don't think I'll be able to use one of those. The Alliant mill has a long hex draw bar. While that allows you to change tools without fully retracting the quill, it means less clearance on top when you DO retract it.

You should take that as a compliment Ed - you machining of one part was so good that I was able to figure out your top secret plan.

Just like the next guy, I don't mind a compliment every now and then. It helps to keep me motivated. Smile
