Yeah I thought so too. I was looking at the die grinder kit alone on Amazon and they wanted $320 for it. Then I saw the Home Depot labor day sale link on Google. Clicked on that and it was like one of those Amazon "deal of the day" things where there is a time limit on the sale. I didn't know HD did those.
$249 for the die grinder, two batteries , charger, the case AND the M12 ratchet. I already bought one of the ratchets several years ago and love it so having a backup for free doesn't hurt my feelings any.
After the fact I blew the savings anyway by buying a couple of extra 6.0AH batteries for the die grinder.
Need 'em for decent run time from what I understand. Will use the standard 2.0AH batteries for the ratchet(s).

I'm afraid it sucks worse that I have 4 pneumatic die grinders and 2 air compressors but can't get to any of them right now so I gotta do, what I gotta do.
Not sorry.
What also sucks is that I just lost a new $30 folding LED strip flashlight from Harbor Freight. Great little light and very versatile. Our suspicion is it got knocked off my little work table unnoticed and fell into a small trash can sitting below. I'm guessing that the wife didn't notice it either when she took out the trash. So the discount from the die grinder deal just got a bit smaller since I had to order another flashlight.

Here is another one....
I mainly bought the Milwaukee for using a 1/4" 3M Roloc disc pad holder. But I had also wanted to be able to use some of my small Foredom burrs, dental burrs etc., with odd size shanks (5/32" and metric) in the die grinder since it uses a (close to) ER style collet. Same size basically as an ER 11 collet but a bit longer in length. I thought the shorter ER 11 collets would work just fine for the small burrs in the die grinder. When I tried it I discovered Milwaukee used a different thread pitch on their grinder chuck so I am unable to screw an ER 11 collet nut onto it.
So now my only other option is the 1/8" Milwaukee collet and nut.

So here's one for you Milwaukee.

And yet you didn't make one. For shame.
Full of ideas, but slow to produce parts

Yeah Roger, I know but there is a reason for that. I haven't been able to get down into my basement shop for over a year now. Zero machine work since I can't get to them to use them. I thought by now I would be able to but other issues have cropped up in the interim so I'm still on hold. What little I can do has to be able to be done from a wheelchair in my living room or out on my driveway. I can't navigate any stairs yet because I had one of my legs amputated last year thanks to Diabetes. That is when I started using my current forum avatar because I saw it on a T-shirt. I lost a leg but not my sense of humor.
So that's why I haven't been able to post any real "projects" for some time now. It will happen again someday, I just can't say when.

Wow, I didn't know that. I was only trying to be a smart ass, as is usual.

No worries my friend. Never change. I love a good sarcastic sense of humor. Especially mine!
