Picked this up at an auction in Carson City NV.
Made by sandmaster seems similar to a bur king.
the casting is aluminum. motor is DC with adjustable speed control.
The box of belts cost more than the lot and came with the sander.

That thing is a beast!! Don't know what you paid, but looks like a good score.
I am always trying to find a REALLY good 4" x 36" horizontal belt sander for the my shop.
We have a couple we use everyday, but I could really use a couple more.
I always buy the box store offerings, (home depot, lowes, etc.) and they last about a year under the stress we put them through in a production environment, but for a $100. a pop or so for those, I just can't bring myself to spent $700 on ONE really good sander........let alone purchase three or four!
Best Regards,
Russ

@ Russel -- belt sanders aren't hard to make, and for a heck of a lot less than $700.

Russ with the shop you have why not build a kit and sell it at a good price.
build the wheels and let guys build there own frames.
keep the price low and sell sell sell.
