Its a secret not many know but i am very happy you have found it... I have been doing what you have for many years and my whole shop has been paid for this way.
Btw... There a secret ill share with you.. There is a large store over your way named Joeseph Fazzio, they have large quantities steel, hardware and tooling for great prices and the one in Delaware always has machine tooling etc, taps, drills, and reamers in the back shop shelves all sold as Per Pound.

Yup yup so far I been getting stuff I needed , selling off the residual to re invest again... Love it!!!!
Thanks ...Hey Ant-ny I grew up in a business worked in flea Mkt and tool distributor for well over 10yrs . We sold inexpensive ( cheap-o stuff) We were around way before harbor freight. In fact we had an importer still rem him "Hung Lee" at age of 14 he wanted to take me over seas.. I never furget he said come with me to china we have fun than grabbed me balls and said I get u girl . I was 14 yo ..lol
well anyways . At a young age I learned how to wheel and deal learned how to present stuff to make a sale and sell items together like the meat with gravy tactic. everyone's happy to get lots of stuff in a "deal"
so let me ask this Joeseph Fazzio is there a place in NJ ? and where is he located ?
Hey Mayhem guess the Chinese Cheapo tool holders I got will do. lol...... Hate to buy junk but sometimes we need some thing to start with . The lathe tools I got and holders are Chinese . However the insets I am using are good quality and doing a pretty good job so far . Having an extra 5 tools holders is a big convenience ya know .
Mayhem

Sorry - must have missed that. About 12 years ago my wife and I bought a 3500 square meter (a little over 3/4 acre) block up in the hills East of Perth. Our agreement was that she could have the house that she wanted if I could have the workshop that I wanted. Back then there were restrictions on the size of a workshop that you could have and it was proportional to the overall block size. I had to put in for special permission to exceed that size and managed to get approval for a 12.2m x 7.6m x 3.0m (40' x 25' x 9'10") workshop.
This is strictly private although for several years, I did run a DJ and lighting company out of it. However, this was an after hours business and I stepped down as company director in September 2009. It has only been recently that I have got the gear out and the shop reconfigured to have a machine shop in one of the three bays. The hoist has gone into the middle bay, as my back can no longer deal with crawling under cars or trying to contort myself into engine bays in vehicles where the engine is designed to drop out of the car for it to be worked on.
I'm actually paid to think for a living but I would go crazy if I didn't have an outlet to use my hands. I grew up in a family of mechanics and have spent a good portion of my life in mechanic shops and was frustrated with the size of shop that I could have out in the burbs...
We were lucky to buy and build before the prices went through the roof. To buy and build today would easily cost us five times what it did in 2003.
