Vial Extractor Assembly
#1
A few weeks ago we had some assemblies to manufacture for our forensic test equipment customer.

The assemblies are used in hospitals, crime labs, and other various scientific labs.

This particular assembly simply removes the cover from a large vial after it comes out of machine where it has been subjected to the effects of liquid nitrogen.

The ease in which the extractor removes the frozen cover from the frozen vial allows the lab technician to carefully control the removal of the contents inside that vial.

All the components you see pictured (with the exception of the handle and fasteners) are manufactured in our facility.  They are 6061 aluminum, and are either "Clear" or "Orange" anodized.  The paper strip is there to mask the customers silk screened logo for privacy concerns.

Best Regards,
Russ

Gearing up for more assemblies this week!

It's always fun making individual components, but even more enjoyable assembling them together and seeing them as a finished product.

I'm not on Facebook but just looking at those pictures Russ, I would think that you would probably make a fortune if you started producing reloading tools and equipment. Some of the big name companies out there would be beside themselves. Maybe lead to some lucrative contracts. The benchrest crowd spends big bucks on small presses like that.

Hey, just thinking outloud.... Smile
