Went to a garage sale this morning to investigate what looked like the headstock of a metal lathe under a pile of junk. The lathe turned out to be a rusty 12" atlas that wasn't quite what I was looking but I did find a bandsaw, Taiwanese HD drill press, AC/DC stick welder, Starret drill press vise, angle vise and a couple hundred drill bits, forge handcrank blower and a 4" aluminum bar about 20" long. All for $200, I told him it was worth more than that but because I spent an hour or so helping him sort through some stuff he said he would give me a good deal. The drill press is complete and runs smooth and quiet, 60 rpm at its slowest. The bandsaw needs a new blade and a cleaning but is in great condition. Pretty pleased with this mornings score.
