Willie,
I'll take the blame. You'll probably get yours functional long before I get a compressor.
I hope you also used the 20% off coupon that accompanied the jack coupon.

I replaced the cylinder on my welding tables crane with an air over hydraulic, the air cylinder made it a lot easier and safer to use

DRAT!!! I don't know about the store(s) in your area Ed, but around here they are sticklers on their store polices. All the coupons have fine print on them that says they can't be combined with other coupons. The in-store "sale price" was $119.99 so I figured I saved 20 bucks at least with the 99 dollar coupon. But now that you mention it, I've got a 25% coupon sitting here as well that would have knocked off another 10 bucks if I would have used it instead.
Oh well, at least I got another free flashlight to go along with it.
Luckily all I need to do is switch the jacks on the press and it will be ready to go.

I bought mine online. It was listed at $99 and I used a 25% off coupon so got it for about $75 plus $6.50 shipping.

UPDATE:
I did a little more digging on the jack in question, and today our beloved administrator (AKA: Ed) filled me in on a dirty little secret. If you look online at the HF web site, they show 2 different item numbers for this 20 ton jack. They are the same price but definitely not the same quality. The "old" version has a different air motor and plumbing. Cheap stamped metal housing and fittings that look like they were crimped with a pair of slip joint pliers.
The new and improved version with a different item number has a much better built air motor with an added muffler to quiet it down. The plumbing was replaced with real air hose and heavily crimped fittings. Fortunately I hadn't even opened the box yet so I took it back to the store to return it. Some lively "discussions" with the cashier and store manager ensued over whether or not they were both the "same thing". Then it hit me as to how I ended up purchasing the "old" model in the first place. They packaged them in a box showing a picture of the "new" version on it. To cover their backsides against people returning them saying the contents aren't as advertised - they print the OLD item number on the NEW boxes!
Longer story short.... I just came home with the new improved model AND some of the cash I spent previously, back in my pocket again.
THANKS AGAIN ED!!!!!! For everything you do for us all and the forum.
